Anxiety

Constant worry, ruminating thoughts, a body that won't unwind: anxiety can make ordinary life feel exhausting. The right support makes a real difference.

Common signs and challenges

I lie awake at night going over everything I said, everything that could happen.

I can't stop running through all the ways things could go wrong.

I know I'm overreacting, but I can't stop worrying.

My chest gets tight and my heart races.

I avoid certain situations just to stop feeling anxious.

I'm always on edge, and it's exhausting.

How we help

Expertise and support
Anxiety is one of the most common reasons people seek us, and it is a problem our team knows deeply: the patterns it follows, what keeps it going, and the approaches that reliably help. Feeling like you should just be able to calm down, and not being able to, is one of the most frustrating parts of anxiety, and we can give you the tools you need to overcome it.
Our approach
Our counsellors use Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), one of the most researched and effective approaches for anxiety. Sessions are practical: we help you understand what's driving the worry, change the thinking patterns that keep it going, and build confidence facing situations you've been avoiding. We work at a pace that feels manageable.
Who we work with
We see adults, adolescents, and children, and tailor treatment to each person's specific anxiety, whether that's persistent worry, GAD, OCD, social anxiety, panic attacks, or phobias.

Expected outcomes

  • Reduced frequency and intensity of anxious episodes
  • Improved ability to engage with situations previously avoided
  • Better sleep and reduced physical tension
  • Increased confidence in managing anxiety when it arises
  • Clearer, more balanced thinking under stress

Common questions

I've tried therapy before and it didn't help. Why would this be different?

Many people have had experience with open-ended talk therapy that didn't lead anywhere. CBT is different: it's structured, goal-directed, and focused on specific patterns keeping anxiety going. You'll have a clear sense of what you're working on and why. If you've tried therapy before without much result, it's worth talking to us about what that looked like. CBT may be a genuinely different experience.

What if I'm not sure it's anxiety?

You don't need to arrive with a diagnosis. The free 15-minute call is exactly the right place to describe what you're experiencing and find out whether we're a good fit. We'll help you figure out what's going on.

Do you see children and teens for anxiety?

Yes. We work with adults, adolescents, and children. Treatment is age-adapted, and for younger children, parents are actively involved, including advising on how to respond to anxiety at home in ways that help rather than reinforce it.
